Moldex 2800 Disposable Respirators provide 95% efficiency in protecting against non oil based particulate. They also have an added carbon layer to protect workers against nuisance levels (less than OSHA PEL) of ozone and organic vapor odors. These masks feature the exclusive Ventex Valve which releases exhaled heat easily, with less breathing resistance, keeping workers cooler. Each mask includes Moldex's Dura-Mesh® shell, which stands up to heat and humidity, preventing the masks from collapsing in tough conditions. Less collapsed masks means less replacement masks are needed, saving money.
Moldex 2800 respirators are comfortable, with a foam nose pad and contoured nose bridge instead of a metal noseband. The 2800 features Moldex's HandyStrap design, which allows the mask to dangle around the neck between uses so respiratory safety is always close at hand. The straps are cloth, and stay cool and comfortable just like the rest of the mask.
Moldex 2800 Disposable Respirator Applications
For sewage treatment, waste processing, varnish and paint manufacturing, food processing, printing, chemical processing, agriculture, lab settings, and welding and foundry operations. Also for humid, hot, and dusty environments including textiles, poultry, lime, buffing, polishing, underground mining, cement, metal machining, stone quarrying, bagging, sweeping, sanding, grinding, brazing, soldering, and welding. Note: for use with non oil based particulates only.
|Choosing N-, R-, or P-Series Particulate Respirators|
Filter efficiency shows how much filter leakage can be accepted. Higher efficiency means less leakage.
95%, 99%, and 99.97% are the most common filter efficiency ratings.
|Used in particulate environments free of oil aerosols. N-series filters cannot be used if oil particles are present.||Used for oil and non-oil particles with time use limitations specified by NIOSH. If oil particles (e.g., lubricants, cutting fluids, glycerine) are present, use an R- or P-series filter.||Used for oil and non-oil particples with time use limitations specified by manufacturer.
