    These muffs do not keep the intense sound of a gunned...

    These muffs do not keep the intense sound of a gunned chainsaw from hurting your ears but I am finding, unfortunately, that helmet muffs have not been made that do. They do attenuate the highs, to a large extent, but the rest of the noise spectrum still blasts you out. If I pop in a pair of Hearos Extreme Protection plugs along with the muffs, things are much better, but I was hoping to avoid having to do that.
