Product Reviews for Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear Plugs
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsCharlotte SternerJune 13, 2019I found the earplugs to do the job of blocking out my husbands snoring.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsTBFebruary 7, 2019I purchased them to block the electronic hum in our house but it amplified it. I’m guessing it was because there was a hole going through them to let the alarm clock & door bell sound through. If they would have been solid, it may have worked. On the plus side, they were very comfortable!
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsJeffOctober 12, 2018I did not find these plugs to be useful
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsDadaSeptember 5, 2018Good and comfortable. I am on my third set , as my cat like to eat them.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsStephApril 21, 2017Comes with unique accessories but not a very good job at the important part filtering noises. They will block out continuous noise like a fan but sharp sounds like door slams and airplanes are only muffled. Doesn't list an NPR rating so not sure what to compare them to. Also gets stuck in the ear easier then other plugs I've tried and had to pull them out with tweezers each time they were used. I can recommend for studying and only soft sounds but not if you are sleeping in a noisy environment.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsDeanJune 7, 2016They work about as well as disposable ear plugs. They do allow one to sleep on his/her side, but they don't keep out enough of the ambient noises. They can get stuck, and become hard to remove even with the tool.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsAndyDecember 13, 2015These are brilliant, so comfortable that last night I woke up thinking I'd lost one down the bed...after 5 min searching it was still in my ear, just slid out a fraction! They are especially good if you sleep on your side as they are quite shallow.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugspaulaOctober 4, 2015They are very comfortable all night. I often loose the green plug and then have trouble getting out of the ear canal. I dislike the air exchange squeak that occurs in the rolling of positions on the ear. Still It's the softest I've come across that doesn't effect the widening of my ear canal like the foam plugs.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsjohnJune 28, 2015they do not work as claimed waste of time Go to an audiologist and get a pair fitted properly, you will pay for them but well worth it.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsHeidiMay 16, 2015Love these! They are the most comfortable earplugs for sleeping that I've ever tried! They even feel great when you're sleeping on your side. I've always had trouble getting the foam earplugs to stay in, and these couldn't be easier! I don't even need to use the little tool that comes with them. I wish they were just a little bit more noise cancelling, but overall I love them to mostly block out my boyfriend's snoring and will continue to use them.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsJacintaMay 6, 2015Fantastic product. They are very comfortable to wear and block out the noise very effectively. They're great for home and when I'm travelling.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsTroyOctober 21, 2014Ear plugs work fantastic! Drowns out the snoring of my roommate and allows me to sleep soundly. Great product and would recommend to anyone.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsVictoriaJune 8, 2014Amazing product. I've tried a few earplugs and keep going back to the drugstore foam ones. BUT this one finally works for me. It's amazing. I've had it about two weeks now. They are comfortable and gentle so I don't even notice them. They drown out the harsh sounds more than the drugstore foam ones (I've tried all of those.). These earplugs are heaven.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsRobertApril 26, 2014really nice. These are both comfortable and block all the noise. You can adjust how much noise is blocked by how much you insert into the ear. This is much better than I expected.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsElizabethNovember 23, 2013I ordered something hoping it would cancel out the irritating "click, click, click" sound our ceiling fan made. It did EXACTLY what I wanted it to. They are so easy to put in and take out, easy to keep clean and SO much better than foam earplugs.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsRichard GJanuary 10, 2013Disappointed. They're definitely not as good as foam plugs at blocking noise. They do block quiet noise, but they just muffle anything louder than a whisper. Tried them for two nights, both times I took them out & used foam plugs after half a night's sleep. Pros : They fit neatly & comfortably in the ear, you can sleep with these in when you're lying on your side.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugschazzDecember 28, 2012Aside from having to trim the plugs shorter, these work very well for me. As I live close to a freeway where I can still hear street noise through my double windows, these earplugs block enough sound to allow me a restful sleep while still being able to hear my alarm in the morning.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear Plugsjoe ryanNovember 23, 2012Found them easy to use blocks out 80% of noise would recommend them highly plus fast delivery.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsKathy CummingsMarch 6, 2012I'm a very light sleeper and my husband's snoring keeps me awake. I can still hear him if he gets really loud but it is muted enought that I can sleep much better. I am a side sleeper so I trimmed the stems a little. I think they must be a llittle too large to get a perfect fit in my ear canal because a lot of times when I wake up they are no longer inserted in my ear. I like the lime green color so that I can find them.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsCatJanuary 24, 2012These fit very nicely
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsMaxJanuary 4, 2012I like them. They've done what I bought them for: blocking out the whining, attention-hungry cat which wakes me up in the middle of the night and early morning. I've used them 5+ nights, and I think my sleep is definitely less disturbed with them. I've yet to have them fall out of my ears during sleep. I can even sleep on them (e.g. lay with the side of my head on the pillow). I was pleasantly surprised by that. They're a little uncomfortable at first - the inside of my ears got a little sore. This soreness is decreasing the more I wear them. In the morning, after wearing them all night, the inside of my ears feel warm and moist. Not sure if this is bad. I've not had any particular problems with them being this way so far. --MP
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsCrusaderJanuary 3, 2012I've been using these earplugs for about two years and they are the best thing out there for the money. Be sure not use alcohol or other harsh chemicals to clean them or they will wear out faster. I use those individually sealed cleaning wipes made for hearing aids and they work great to clean any earplug. I use earplugs 7 nights a week, so I have to replace these about every 60 days for best results; this may vary person-to-person, obviously.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsJRJanuary 3, 2012These aren't perfect - they don't block out my husband's loudest snoring, but they work 80% and so far, they don't hurt!!!! I did clip the stem a bit, though, to get them to be comfortable
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsCjDecember 22, 2011The earplugs are relatively comfortable for sleeping with, but do not provide adequate noise filtering. I was able to hear my partner's snoring no problem.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsNadine BolesJuly 15, 2011I bought an air conditioner that is vey noisy. I tried the foam earplugs that blocked out all sound but was afraid I could miss a smoke detector or phone call during the night. The SleepSoft work very well. They don't block out all the noise, just enough so I can fall asleep and not be woken up when the compressor kicks in. I have small ear canals and just wish they came in a childs size. I sleep on my side and the peice that sticks out does not bother me, but I wear a headband with these to protect my ears against pillow friction and keep them in place when I change positions during the night.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsJacquieJune 25, 2011Even though they didn't stick out of my ears, they were very uncomfortable to wear while sleeping. I'm a side sleeper, so the harder post pressed down against the inside of my ears, causing pain.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsRandyJune 23, 2011These are great ear plugs for me. Works great. Thanks, Randy
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsGeorge NgMay 25, 2011just moved to a noisy city apartment, with 24-h traffic noise. The ear plugs are quite comfortable to wear for long hours (compared to industrial foam plugs), especially overnight. Personally, although, the plugs do dampen noise overall, it did not dampen certain noises well enough, eg. loud accelerating engine noise of buses and heavy trucks, shrill blaring of motorcycles and the irritating Harley-Davidson rumble. Considering the comfort factor and limited noise-dampening, the ear plugs still provide a better sleep for me (than without!). Would be fantastic if can greatly dampen those irritating traffic noise much better! [Note from EPSS Customer Service: We suggest pairing earplugs with white noise when greater sound masking is needed.]
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsDavid NeilMay 10, 2011I bought 3 different sleep earplugs to test before I traveled. These were the most effective of the three and the were reasonably comfortable (the least comfortable of the three, but still livable and I hate stuff in my ears, so this is actually high praise). Unfortunately, they did not block out enough-the Great Danes barking across the street, so I will still try some other earplugs
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsMarita RossApril 13, 2011Can't go a night without them! Have been using them for more than a year now - I always make sure I have back-up ones! And I use the ones for flying as well as I travel frequently. Introduced them to friends who love them also (one of them gave them away as stocking stuffers last Christmas). Great product!
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsAGApril 9, 2011My dear husband snores like a chainsaw, which can make it very hard to get to sleep. These earplugs have finally solved the problem! Now, I can still hear my husband snoring, but the frequencies that cut through my skull are blocked. :) It's a nice touch that the ends of the plugs are fluorescent and stand out in the dark when you're looking for them with a flashlight.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsRonApril 6, 2011Really a good product. Works just like it says.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsJanetJanuary 20, 2011I'm an international purchaser, hence the product is rather pricey for me. Having said that, I have to say that the ear plug is quite comfortable and it helps to reduce noises.
Alpine SleepSoft Reusable Sleeping Ear PlugsAmyNovember 21, 2010These really work as described. I trimmed mine a bit and can rest my head sideways with no problems. Because only ambient noise is reduced, I can still hear my alarm to get up. My upstairs neighbor gets up at 4:00am but with the earplugs, I'm not bothered by her footfalls any longer.
