We know you are in a hurry to get your great new custom product. Everybody is. However our labs are all very busy places, so normal processing times within the Lab can run from 3 to 7 working days, and sometimes longer. When you add to that, 2 or 3 days in transit from Ear Plug Superstore to the Lab, another 2 or 3 days from the Lab back to us for a final QC check, and then another 2 or 3 days back to you, well, it can add up. We normally tell customers to expect that it will take 10-14 days from the time we received your good impressions until you can expect to receive your finished custom product, and honestly, sometimes it can take a few days longer than that when our Labs or our own staff are really backed up.
For some people, we understand that is just too long to wait. You may have a hunting trip planned or a concert to attend, or for many other reasons, you just need your custom products done more quickly than our normal processing times. So, based on popular demand, and working with our professional custom earmold labs to help us solve this vexing problem, we can now offer an optional RUSH service.
NOTE: If you add RUSH service to your order, you will not slow any other orders down by jumping to the head of the line. Our Labs use extra labor on overtime to provide RUSH service so that it does not interfere with their regular processing of orders.
What do you get when you buy the optional RUSH service?
If you buy the RUSH option on any custom ear plug or ear mold for which we offer the option, you will get 2 day processing at the lab and overnight shipping directly to your shipping address when it is done. It will still take us 2-3 days to get your impressions to the Lab, so plan on 5-6 days to received your finished ear plugs, ear molds or custom earphones, from the time we receive your good impressions. This will shave 4 to 8 days off the normal processing time.
Why does it cost so much?
Good question! When you buy rush services, you are adding around $20 in overnight shipping cost and you are causing the lab personnel to work overtime to get your order processed. Without the extra overtime, allowing your order to jump to the head of the line would mean other orders being processed would then have to be delayed so yours could get done sooner. That would not be fair to those eagerly waiting for their products to be finished, and treating customers unfairly is always a bad business decision.
