Etymotic HD-3 Safety™ Earphones provide two big benefits:
Hearing protection: The foam eartips provide NRR 27 protection from sound, making them ideal for high-noise work environments. They're also excellent for riding the bus or subway, or any other noisy situation in which you would like to block out the noisy world and enjoy your music in peace. The 3-flange eartips provide NRR 22 noise blocking for more moderately noisy settings. Whether you're working or dealing with a commute, Etymotic's neodymium moving coil drivers with ACCU-Chamber Technology are ready to deliver you from the daily grind.
Safe music listening: By blocking outside noise, you can actually listen at a lower volume and hear your music more clearly. Normal earbuds blast sound into your ears at higher volumes to compensate for a poor fit. Your earbuds fit awkwardly, and a lot of sound escapes. Etymotic earphones create a good acoustic seal inside your ear canals, keeping the music inside pure, uninterrupted, and clear. And that means you can hear more by listening at a lower volume.
