Great ear muffs. I am a student using them to study - to remove ambient noise when I'm essay writing - and these are great for extended wear. I initially bought the Elvex Ultrasonic NRR 27, because the Dewalt were out of stock. Though the Elvex were also very good, they were comparably much heavier, and much larger. They put pressure on my ears after about an hour of wearing them. You get the "wearing over ear headphone" discomfort. But with the Dewalt, they are lighter, and comfortable. The extending metal poles (for lack of better description) from the actual ear muff give much room for adjustment and the muff itself is big enough to cover my ear without touching any part of my ear (which leads to discomfort after wear). My only complaints after looking more at the ear muffs is that 1) the metal poles seem flimsy and adjust with a lot of friction between the metal pole and the casing (maybe using some oil might help); and 2) looking inside the ear muff, it is foam packing that did not completely seal all sides - it just looks like they stuffed the foam in, a mark of questionable consistency throughout models, and from the two muffs. Other than that, really great earmuffs and I love that they fold to fit my backpack and are quite portable. And NRR 29 is always a plus.

these are great! wish I had bought them years ago! the headband is comfortable for a small head and the muffs fit snugly enough to help keep my glasses from sliding off. They effectively remove the irritating noise from a grinder or chop saw, and the bright color makes them almost easy to find when I put them down ....somewhere.
