Sonic Defenders feature a triple-flange tip designed to fit most people and create a very good seal against noise. At NRR 26, the Sonic Defenders EP5 are suited for moderate to high noise level environments in which the ability to hear speech and other ambient sounds clearly is not critical. (For situations in which situational awareness is important, try the SureFire EarPro Sonic Defenders EP3 -- it has variable noise reduction, so you can choose and change how much protection you need on the fly!)

The unique Sonic Defenders EarLock™ design helps these ear plugs "lock" in place using a total of 7 different contact points, preventing the ear plugs from falling out even during extended wear and high levels of activity. Sonic Defenders are made of a flexible, durable, hypo allergenic polymer, and their ergonomic shape provides both excellent fit and lasting comfort. These low-profile ear plugs can be worn under a helmet, and are comfortable enough for sleeping.
