NRR 29 Hearing Protection
While workers are wearing ISOtunes IT-10 Earphones, they are also gaining the benefit of Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) 29 protection from noise. The NRR scale goes from roughly 0 to 33, with 33 generally providing the best, strongest sound-blocking. At NRR 29, ISOtunes are well-suited for a wide variety of very noisy applications, including most industrial work environments. The key to this noise blocking is the use of fully-rated TRILOGY™ foam ear tips, which keep external sound out of the ear canals to prevent noise-induced hearing damage and enhance the quality of your listening experience through noise isolation. Listen-Only: No Microphone
The ISOtunes IT-10 is a listen-only earphone with no microphone. These earphones were specifically developed at the request of companies that need their workers to have hearing protection, want them to be able to enjoy music, and cannot allow them to have fully-functioning smart phone headsets or other microphones during work.
While most of the models in the ISOtunes line of earbud-earplug hybrids are designed to work as smart phone headsets, the IT-10 is not. This model specifically and deliberately has no microphone, and cannot be used for voice or calling, thus making it perfect for use in restricted communication environments.
Built-in Volume Limiting
The ISOtunes IT-10 is fully OSHA-compliant with built-in volume limiting. ISOtunes' SafeMax™ Technology keeps internal volume limited to 85dB and below, preventing workers from damaging their own hearing by listening at dangerous volumes. Designed for use by industrial workers, the IT-10 is fully compliant with ANSI, OSHA and CSA standards.
