Walkers Ultra Ear BTE Hearing Enhancer Features Walkers UltraEar Economy BTE (Behind-the-Ear) Hearing Enhancer is an entry level hunter's hearing enhancer designed to let the user try out the concept of hearing enhancement before committing to a more expensive device. Though rated NRR 22, this earpiece does not block out a significant amount of noise, so the UltraEar BTE should really only be used for hearing amplification purposes. Walkers UltraEar Economy Hearing Enhancer lets you adjust the tone and volume independently in each ear. Controls allow you to increase or reduce high-frequency amplification, so you can tune your listening experience to suit your preferences. Note that wearing an UltraEar in each ear is recommended when hunting or out in public, as wearing two devices gives you a greatly increased ability to detect the direction from which sound is coming. Note: The UltraEar earpiece is not designed to provide adequate protection against gunfire or other dangerously loud noises. UltraEar is a sound amplification assistive hearing device. However, UltraEar does provide a noise activated compression circuit that will help prevent the transmission of gunfire noise into your ear, so UltraEar will provide a limited amount of noise protection. UltraEar should be used as a hearing enhancer and should not be relied upon for hearing protection from gunfire. What's in the Box
