As a drummer these are perfect - recommend for every musician playing and listening to live music

Etymotic told me these new low profile ones are the same as old ones but low profile ...WRONG these are better ! i have used the old ones for year but after one try i immediately switched to the new low profile ones. now only do these sound better they also fit perfectly under a hat and don't make you look like Shrek the way old ones used to. only downside is they don't actually block out that much noise. they are more like a volume knob than a turn off switch. you should ONLY use them for music. make sure you have REAL earplugs for power tools etc. i mainly use these listening to music in the car and they are more or less perfect for that job. you avoid listening fatigue but also you don't blow up your car speakers as you would if you used foam earplugs.

I usually don't take the time to rate products, however, these are worth letting potential customers know how wonderful they are. They block out unwanted sounds such as loud music, loud motors, and any sound that is simply annoying. Wish I had had these when I worked in a noisy work environment. I am a senior female and ordered the regular size. Audiologist said similar items custom made would be over $100.00.
