Westone TRU Solid Adapters fit TRU custom and universal fit ear plugs and provide very good noise blocking. Just snap the filters out and snap these adapter plugs in to block out noise. Note: these solid adapters chop the high end, making them very good for noise blocking, but not generally recommended for accurate sound.

I ordered the solid plug for the Perfect-Fit Model ER custom earplugs. They work great. Reduces the sound level really well. Compared to the musician NR25 filters they reduce the overall level a little and most noticeably in the higher frequencies. I use the solid plug when using air tools, grinders, compressed air, and other loud noise. I use the hi fidelity NR25 musician filter for music or when working in a loud environment and want to hear better when communicating with other workers.
Pros
  • Easy to install and remove. Reduces sound level quite a bit. Reduced high frequencies.
Cons
  • Easy to loose when switching out. Would like a material that could reduce sound even more, but is probably a limitation of the earplug in general.
