Great for sleeping on the bus or in the noisy hotel room! Please note that the solid filters do chop the high frequencies, and these are not recommended for applications requiring accurate sound.

Solid Plug Works Great

I ordered the solid plug for the Perfect-Fit Model ER custom earplugs. They work great. Reduces the sound level really well. Compared to the musician NR25 filters they reduce the overall level a little and most noticeably in the higher frequencies. I use the solid plug when using air tools, grinders, compressed air, and other loud noise. I use the hi fidelity NR25 musician filter for music or when working in a loud environment and want to hear better when communicating with other workers.

ProsEasy to install and remove. Reduces sound level quite a bit. Reduced high frequencies.

ConsEasy to loose when switching out. Would like a material that could reduce sound even more, but is probably a limitation of the earplug in general.
