Howard Leight by Honeywell Clarity Natural Sound Reusable Ear Plugs offer another excellent choice in the fast-growing category of natural sound ear plugs. We recommend these for protection in environments up to 99 dB, including use in home workshops, concerts and clubs and for daily wear for those with acute sensitivities to noise.

Clarity's Patented Sound Management Technology means you can still hear conversations and warning sounds, while remaining protected from the dangers and pain of noises up to 99 dB. For louder environments, you should consider other types of earplugs.

Features:
  • Patented Sound Management Technology™ (SMT) enhances communication by blocking low and medium frequencies while higher frequencies (voice, signals, alarms) can be heard more naturally, with less distortion
  • Low attenuation ideal for marginal noise environments of 99 dB or lower
  • Preventing overprotection and improving overall worker safety and compliance
  • Patented quadruple SoftFlange™ design creates comfortable seal in the ear canal for all-day comfort
  • Blue/regular size only (green/small has been discontinued)
  • Cord adjuster adapts length to suit personal preference or application
  • Reusable case with hook attaches to belt loop, apron, bag or other work tools

I ordered the small ear plugs, which were supposedly for children. HA! They were TOO big to be for a child. Returned them for a refund.

I bought the children's size for my 12 year old to use as a noise filter. They were too large and rigid..not comfortable at all.

They aren't very comfortable, and since they totally seal off the canal, I'm worried I could damage my eardrum if not careful. Plus the string is really annoying and has no way to remove it without cutting it, which I did. However, for the price, they are very good at reducing all frequencies relatively evenly. I also got the MusicSafe PRO earplugs with the 3 sets of filters, and got these just because they're so cheap and I was curious. They attenuate more sound than the gold filters of the MSP's, with a NRR of 21. I could see myself using them in very loud, non-music settings, or heavy metal concerts.

I find these plugs quite good with my big band. They cut down the sound quite a bit without interfering much with the quality of the sound. I initially brought the large/adult size, and found they were a little difficult to put in. I then also bought a set of the green small ones. These were adequate for me, and I thought I had average size ears. If you are going to buy these, I would at least get one set of each and see which suits better in terms of size. I have etymotics too, which are a little easier to insert, but these do a good job, and are reasonable values for money. It's a shame the cable for them is not easily removed without cutting and retying it.

I love these ear plugs. They are better then I expected and they do not get in the way. Plus I can still hear my drums and the other instruments in the band.

I bought these at a festival because I left my own plugs at home (Alpine Partyplugs) and they were really disappointing. They are too long, too rigid and have too many rings, causing irritation in my ears and. They don't allow enough air through, making your ears feel shut off, which also makes music sound dull. Their lenght also makes them very visible sticking out of your ears. I know they are cheap, but I would recommend that you spend a few extra dollars and buy the Alpine Partyplug. They are made of silicon rather than hard plastic, which makes them much more comfortable to wear. They also allow for some ventilation, and give you a better sound experience.

These fit really well in my ears, where the Killnoise Musician plugs were way to small, and the Acu-Life Impact Music plugs were too big. As for sound, they're good, not excellent, but in the price range you can't beat em.
