Sound Amplification
The Ghost Stryke II amplifies safe sounds by up to 8x (even better and more powerful sound amplification than the Original Ghost Stryke!). Re-programmable hearing aid technology brings you ambient sounds in good, clear quality sound. Imagine being able to hear your prey before it hears you - that's what Ghost Stryke II makes possible. And this same sound amplification is also excellent for hearing voices and safety sounds while shooting both indoors and outdoors.
You can also adjust the volume in each ear independently using easy wheel controls, so you can really customize your hearing experience to fit your needs. And that means you can get true binaural hearing amplification, so you can maintain your sense of direction and your ability to properly perceive directional sound. With Ghost Stryke II, you can truly remain connected to your surroundings while you shoot. Your situational awareness will actually be better while wearing your ear plugs.
Sound Blocking
When a hazardously loud noise occurs (over 85dB), the sound amplification shuts down to protect your ears. With no amplification, the full NRR of the ear tips is applied (NRR 30 from the foam tips, or NRR 24 from the silicone tips). That way you can match your hearing protection to suit your application. The more shots are fired, the more damage your ears will take if they are left unprotected - but the Ghost Stryke II's tough foam tips are ready to defend you. Meanwhile, for lighter shooting, the NRR 24 tips allow for even clearer hearing. Regardless of the tips used, the Ghost Stryke II's noise suppression technology will squash the noises you don't want to hear, whether it's gun blast noise, or any other irritating, hazardously loud, unwanted sound.
Note: For indoor shooting, it is recommended that you really double up on protection by wearing a set of ear muffs over the Ghost Stryke II earpieces. The earpieces are low profile, so this dual protection method is easy and comfortable to wear.
Universal Fit - Fast and Easy
Unlike many other hearing protection and enhancement devices of this high quality, the Ghost Stryke II is strictly a universal fit earpiece. While the fit is not custom, two pairs each of three different types of ear tips are included, which will allow you to select a very good fit for your ears. And unlike custom molded earpieces, universal fit earpieces are ready to go - they ship right away, and they are ready to wear right out of the box. When it comes to universal fit, the convenience (and lighter-than-full-custom price tag) are huge benefits.
Ghost Stryke II hunter's hearing aids require no additional programming or other tinkering with the audio settings in order to be ready to use. Just put on the tips you prefer, put in the batteries, and go. So these truly are ready to wear just as soon as you unbox them.
Too, it is worth pointing out that these electronic ear plugs are extremely low-profile - so unlike ear muffs, which can get in the way, you can always maintain good cheek weld while using the Ghost Stryke II.
