This Product is OSHA CompliantHoward Leight by Honeywell Impact Pro OSHA Compliant Electronic Shooting Ear Muffs are an ideal electronic ear muff for all the shooting sports, including indoor and outdoor practice, as well as hunting, plus letting you safely listen to music on your smart phone or other external devices while on the job in an OSHA regulated workplace.

Impact Pro goes two steps farther than ordinary electronic shooting ear muffs by first including an external stereo patch cable to connect to your Iphone, Ipod, scanner, or other music or sound source. By connecting to a hand-held FMRS radio, you can receive calls through the Impact Pro, and send by speaking into the radio, for amazingly inexpensive two-way radio communications in noisy environments up to 115 dB!

Step two is an internal volume limiter that prevents exceeding OSHA recommended maximum noise levels, no matter how loud the ambient sound or how high you turn up the volume on your external device when plugged into the Impact Pro. The volume at your ear will not exceed 82 dB making Impact Pro safe for all day wear on the job. Now the safety officer can finally say yes to listening to music, the ball game, the NASCAR Race or even books on tape while on the job. Repetitive work no longer has to be boring!

We are a Tool & Die and Metal Stamper. I bought these Ear Muffs for every Press Operator. They all love these ear muffs and say they are great. I'm very pleased with this purchase and the guys love how they can attached their music devices to the ear muffs. I will be buying these again as we hire more people.

Works very well as described. The 30db noise reduction is the highest I have found with shooting earmuffs. And ordinary conversation comes through fine. Highly recommend

Ordering was easy and my ear muffs arrived quickly. Ordered Sunday night and got them by Wednesday. I used them at the shooting range and it was easy to talk to people. I also tested them by standing at the end of the garage and having someone whisper at the end of the garage and I could hear them. The noise reduction was great. Would definitely recommend.

Love the IPhone connection while mowing the lawn. Sometimes I have to be able to hear incoming calls. Love Auto off so batteries active longer. The ear pads are so soft I can wear sunglass and still get the same protection around the ear. My lawn rotor went out on one zone. To find the location we turned off water and with the ear Muffs could find the zone quickly for repair as it was covered over with dirt from years of use. The Battery compartment is located on the outside for fast and easy replacement if needed. Truly Outstanding sound quality over a running mower. When my wife feels to need to tell me some important news while outside doing the lawn. I know I could turn them off and just shake my head, but the quality is so nice.

The sound reduction is great. When I tried them on at home, I was a little disappointed in the volume of the amplifier. But when I went to the range, I found that the volume was more than enough. I am extremely happy with both the service from The Earplug Superstore and the product.

This is a review of the "Howard Leight Impac Pro (NRR30) for $66.43 from info@earplugstore.com. Purchased on advice from others from law enforcement articles for small arms training courses. I fired around 650 rounds of 40 caliber ammo from a semi automatic hand gun in a six day course and the results where outstanding. Three AAA batteries lasted all six days and inner foam ear plugs on conventional ear muffs are not necessary since the variable volume control offers multiple levels of noise control. Using a conventional clam shell ear protect plus foam based ear inserts not only cancels out the "bang" but also the voice instructions from the range master. The OSHA compliant electronic ear muffs allow you to hear verbal instructions ( in my case between 15 other shooters) on the line. It's a great product for the price and would recommend it to everyone on the firing line.

THEY FIT WELL, ARE COMFORTABLE, DO A GREAT JOB AS FAR AS SOUND IS CONCERNED, AND CAN STILL CARRY ON A CONVERSATION WITH SOMEONE, MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THEY DON'T FOLD UP AS COMPACT AS SOME OTHER MODELS DO. YOU EITHER HAVE TO WEAR THEM AROUND YOUR NECK WHEN NOT IN USE , OR A BELT CLIP, OR CARRY BAG. THEY WON'T COLLAPSE SMALL ENOUGH TO PUT IN A COAT POCKET . BUT THAT IS MY ONLY PROBLEM WITH THEM . EVERY THING ELSE WITH THEM IS PERFECT.

The earmuffs are awesome for the shooting range, but mowing with music not so much. I plug in for the range and the music helps to distract the brain giving me the ability to concentrate on shooting. I tried plugging in while mowing and the music was too low. Yes, I cranked the volume on the music source and turned up the earmuffs but it just wasn't at the level I like. I solved the problem by wearing earbuds and putting the muffs on too which works like a charm because the 30NRR keeps me from hearing the mower. Now if the muffs could drown out my singing they'd be perfect

The electronic microphone feature adds a lot of safety on the firing line because you can hear commands much more clearly than with ear plugs or standard muffs. The mic cuts out for nearby loud gun noise, but seems to amplify the further ones down the line. I wear glasses so they don't seal perfectly but they work pretty good for me.

Overall quality is good. But they were not what I expected. They do cut down on the outside noise level when I am operating my selfpropelled leaf vaccum. I should have called their customer service before purchasing on line to detemine if they were what I really wanted. I was expecting something with electronic noise reduction built in them and not something that would amplify certain frequencies when the battries were installed. Thank you.
