Notes About Battery Life

Zinc Air batteries are activated when you remove the tab from each battery, allowing air to enter tiny vent holes which activates the battery. Once activated, zinc air batteries will self-discharge in about 10 days whether you use the device or not. For best results, do not remove the tab until you are ready to use the battery, and always keep spare batteries at hand. Some people claim that replacing the tab between uses can extend the life of the battery, but results vary. Also, when you first remove the tab, it may take a few minutes for air to enter the vents and activate the battery.
